As soon as you get in contact with us, specific data is automatically saved by us or by our webspace provider (so-called server logfiles, which arise when opening the shop through the web browser). Part of the account data are:

name of the recalled website, file, date and time of the recall, transported amount of data, report of successfull recall, browser type with version, the operating system of the user, referrer URL (the site visited previously), IP-address, and the requesting provider.

We use the protocol data only for statistic analysis for the purpose of the operation, the safety, and the optimazation of the offer. However, we reserve the right to screen the protocol data subsequently, if the justified suspiscion of an illegal use exists based on concrete clues.

All personal data that you enter in our shop (e.g. when ordering, selling, or getting in contact) or transmit to us in another way (e.g. by e-mail) is registered and saved by us.

We use the personal data only for the correspondence with you and only for the purpose for which you have provided us the data.

When getting in contact (for instance by contact form or e-mail), your information is saved for the processing of the request and for the case that follow-up questions arise.

When opening a user account, you thereby agree that your inventory data, such as name, address, e-mail-address, bank details, and your usage data (user name, password) are saved. Thereby, you have the opportunity to order goods in our shop with your e-mail-address or your customer number and your personal password.

If you leave feedbacks or comments in the blog or other posts, your IP addresses are saved. This happens for our own safety, for being able to determine subsequently the identity of the author in case of posts of illegal contents (insults, prohibited political propaganda, etc.), if we were prosecuted ourselves for the comment or the post.

Data transfer

We guarantee that we do not transmit your personal data to third parties. Exceptions: if we were legally bound to this, you had given us your approval previously, and we had to make use of external contractors for the implementation and processing of coping processes. Under no circumstances we will sell your customer data.

External contractors are engaged by us to implement e.g. deliveries, payment transaction, advertising affords. The contractual relationships with these contractors are treated according to this data privacy statement and the regulations of the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz).

We announce customer accounts and personal data of customers, if we are legally bound to this or if such a transfer is required to enforce our general terms and conditions or other agreements or to protect our rights as well as the rights of our customers and those of third parties. This includes a data exchange with companies, which are specialized in the prevention and minimizing of abuse and credit card deception. It is explicitly clarified that no transfer of the data to those companies takes place for the economic use, which would contradict this data privacy statement.

We use cookies on different sites of our shop to allow the use of specific functions, e.g. the storage of login data for the automatic login in the shop. Furthermore, cookies serve to collect statistical data of the use of the website and enable to analize them for the improvement of the offer.

You can adjust your web browser in such a way that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide on their acceptance individually or exclude the acceptance of cookies in specific cases or generally. However, we would like to point out that the use and especially the usage comfort of our shop are limited without cookies.

If you subscribe for the reception of our newsletter, we save with your acceptance your first name, last name, and your e-mail-address for beeing able to send you own advertising information periodically.

We require a valid e-mail address of you and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the stated e-mail-address or that its owner agrees to the reception of the newsletter. Further data is not collected. This data is only used for the delivery of the newsletter and is not transmitted to third parties.

With the subscription for the newsletter, we save your IP address and the date of the subscription. This storage only serves the proof in case that a third party abuses an e-mail address and subscribes for the reception of the newsletter without the knowledge of the legitimated person.

You can revoke your acceptance for the storage of the data, the e-mail-address, and their use for sending the newsletter at any time. The revocation can take place through a link in the newsletters themselves, in your customer area, or by message to the above-noted contact possibilities.

Inclusion of services and contents of third parties

It can happen that contents of third parties, such as videos from YouTube, map material from Google Maps, RSS-Feeds or grafics from other websites are included in our shop. This always implies that the suppliers of these contents (subsequently indicated as 'third-party suppliers') observe the IP address of the users.

Since without the IP address, they could not send the contents to the browser of the respective user. The IP address therefore is necessary for the presentation of these contents. We seek to use only those contents whose respective suppliers use the IP address only for sending the contents.

However, we do not have any bearing on it, if the third-party suppliers save the IP address e.g. for statistical purposes. So far as we know about this, we inform the users about it.

Data security

Data security
Your personal data is transferred encoded by the use of SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) through the internet. We protect our website and other systems through technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, modification, or diffusion of your data by unauthorized persons.

The access to your user account is only possible after entering your personal password. You should always treat your access information confidentially and close the browser window when you have finished the communication with us, especially if you use the computer together with other persons.

We point out that the data transfer through the internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can generally have security gaps, on which Edelmetalle direkt has no influence. A gapless protection of the data against the access by third parties is unfortunately not possible.
